Thank you Amazon for protecting me from regretting this purchase. First time I used this cooker I loaded it and walked away, that's what a rice cooker should do for it's purpose. Worked perfect, robust boil, total containment (cooking Zatarans Yellow Rice), stirred it a couple times. Last time I lifted the lid I tasted - Perfect! Finished supper and went to plate rice and it was burned and bonded. It never shut down from 'Cook' to 'Warm'.
Submitted return, described issues to Amazon, waited a couple days and was issued a return label. Turns out this unit has no timer.
Thanks Amazon, no harm no foul.
Inexpensive and functional
This rice cooker works fine for small amounts of rice. The Non-Stick Inner Coating (Teflon?) is fine but scratches easily if hard utensils are used.
Teflon
I guess I didn't notice this was teflon coated when I ordered it. I will give it as a gift. There really is no use for teflon coating when the old solid aluminum ones got very clean, very easily.
