Proper Coffee Cold Drip

Quite the Bummer
I bought this item on Kickstarter. I was really pumped to buy my own cold brew coffee maker after having cold brew from some really great stores in town. I really like the idea of supporting someone's design on Kickstarter and giving them the chance to have their product made. I paid a premium over the cold brew machine I have now ($250 Kyoto style - this is $400).

This machine is very flimsy. When you fill up the 1000ml water vessel, the top of the unit starts to spread outwards and twist because of the weight from the water. I emailed the designer about this a few times and he assured me that he doesn't have this problem. I'm not sure if he was listening, but his customer was having this problem and instead of confronting it and helping me find a way to make the machine better, he denied that anything was wrong. Just received the product today. Its definitely flimsy, not nearly as rigid as I had hoped, but I suspected with the shape of the device that this would be the case. I was hoping it would come with two carafe's but it only came with one. Over all it is as expected. Definitely larger than I thought it would be.
