Great Blender / Died quickly
I ordered this blender in lieu of a vitamix blender. I have no experience with high speed blenders so I can't compare but I am very happy with this thing. It has blended everything I have thrown at it so far and it is not as loud as I expected it to be (although it is loud) and all my smoothies have come out SMOOTH. Very happy so far!
Updating my earlier review, my blender has been making an electrical smell when I use it. I thought it was just some quirk of a new high speed blender and would go away after a couple of uses. I was wrong! Today I was making my sixth smoothie (ever using this blender) and the smell became very strong and the machine began to smoke A LOT!). Before I could turn it off it just quit. I was just blending 2 frozen bananas, a handful of strawberries, a handful of blueberries, 2 handful spinach, and 2 cups of water. It didn't trip the overload protection button, and after a few minutes it worked again, but the smell was still very strong. Now I'm...
Omega B2400
Nice, sturdy blender. Not too loud when on low setting. Only drawback might be that it only has a 2 year warranty whereas the Vitamix has a 7 year, but also costs a couple hundred $$ more.
The Omega works great so far. I'll add to this comment down the road if I experience any problems.

bought for $250 on amazon?! not sure how. This is a ballsy blender very comparable to vitamix. it' easier to scrape contents out of it than the vitamix because the container is smoothly shaped. The blades aren't as sharp as the vitamix so things don't end up as smooth, but it's a minimal difference. nice pulse function. little louder than vitamix too.
